SUPERGRASS
I Should Coco

PARLOPHONE

Gaz Coombes, Danny Goffey and Mickey Quinn were young, they said, and so they were. Their teeth, they claimed, were "nice and clean" and there was no reason at all to doubt them. And with a hit single called Alright they defined the Britpop sound of 1995 in one astonishing rush of raucious jollification. By rights, though, this Oxford trio's debut should contain the aforementioned classic and a clutch of sad attempts to emulate it. But, it doesn't. I Should Coco simply bristles with zippy hits, both actual and potential. Rarely has so much tuney rigour been compressed inside one small disc. So, to recap: See your friends. See the sights. Feel alright.
