SUPERGRASS ANNOUNCE DETAILS OF NEW ALBUM

On 30th September 2002 Supergrass release their fourth album 'Life On Other Planets'.

Their first album for three years, 'Life On Other Planets' was written throughout 2001 following a period of extensive touring in 2000. The band spent time on the French Riviera where they wrote much of the album, after which they teamed up with Californian producer Tony Hoffer (Air, Beck) to record in Sussex and Wales.

Supergrass have previously released three Platinum selling LPs in the UK; 'I Should Coco'('95), 'In It For The Money'('97) and 'Supergrass' ('99), together amassing an impressive 'greatest hits' collection including 'Caught By The Fuzz', 'Mansize Rooster', 'Alright', 'Lenny', 'Richard III', 'In It For The Money', 'Late In The Day', 'Tonight', 'Sun Hits The Sky', 'Going Out', 'Pumpin' On Your Stereo', Moving' and 'Mary'.

'Life On Other Planets' features 12 tracks, including 'Never Done Nothing Like That Before' which was released in July as a 1500 limited edition 7" single and described as a hard, weird, XTC punk song about being young and ill and doing time for the PTA, mowing lawns.

On September 16th comes first single proper, 'Grace' a paean to Chris Difford's daughter. The band recorded much of the album at the ex-Squeeze legend's pastoral studio complex in Sussex.
