Hi, I live in Brazil and just watched your new DVD, "Supergrass is 10", and it reminded how much I love this wonderful band! I was 15 when "I should coco" was released, and this record blew my mind... Since then, I've been a great fan of yours, and went to that show in Brazil (you mencioned it on the DVD)... well, I was one of the 100 people there that was a HUGE fan. Love you guys soooo much I can't even tell.

Forgive me if i've got a penchant for believing tabloids but according to todays mirror 01/02/05 the young mr goffey+missus have been indulging in some sort of crazy wife swap style shenanigans with none other than Jude(aren't I so pretty)Law and Sadie(who the f*** am i and why am i famous)Frost. There was me thinking supergrass represented good old fashioned down to earth good times and youthful innocence. good on you danny you've restored my faith in music

Just seen Supergrass at Leadmill, Sheffield...1 hour 10 mins for £16.50 + bf, absolutely diabolical. I wouldn't pay them anymore for playing in my back garden, and I'd set my dogs on 'em if they did such a short set...very, very, p**s poor. Did you need a s**t boys or what??

From: Another miffed fan
Posted on: Tuesday, May 17, 2005, 10:18 AM

Saw them at the Academy Manchester total disappointment!Music was excellent but what a rip off!! They looked disinterested, didnt acknowledge the crowd, and were on for just over an hour. I know Alright is cheesy but it is their anthem whether they like it or not. My advice go and see the much underrated Terrorvision for a truly brilliant live performance.

From: Jill

£16.50 AND FOR WHAT? Just over an hour at the Manchester Academy with the most disnterested band ever. £16.50 isnt a lot to some people but it is to me especially as I bought 2 tickets. Waste of money and an insult to the fans.

From: Rob Oates Email: <Green_shark@hotmail.com>
Posted on: Tuesday, May 17, 2005, 12:37 PM

Whoa, hang on a minute. What gig were you lot at?? I was at the Academy on the Sunday night and thought the gig was excellent. Richard 3rd took the roof off. And as for not playing "Alright", they're not just one trick ponies you know. They've done a couple of other good tracks (well ok 4 albums worth). Looking forward to the next tour already.

£16:50 x 2 - not a lot of money to some people but a lot to myself and for what? Just over an hour at Manchester Academy of a band I had been really looking forward to seeing but who looked thorougly miserable and as if they really didnt want to be there. Even though Alright is obvious they should have sung it, its their anthem whether they like it or not. Feel like demanding my money back and chucking all the cds away. My advice go and see the much underrated Terrorvision who really deliver the goods and actually seem to enjoy themselves.

Ok, so people are miffed with this gig. I wasn't there. But come on, I know you are annoyed about this 1 hour odd gig but give them a break-Think. Could you do it? Could you stand up in front of about 1,00 people and play music flawlessly. I think not. Unless you're in a band. Obviously.

Please please supergrass keep rockin cos I love you loads and will go see you when ever I can cos you are one of the best bands I have ever seen live! First, congratulations Danny! If it is true that is. Secondly, I have loved Supergrass ever since I was about 10 and I am seeing them for the first time in my life on 27th May and I have never been more excited about a gig in my life. I will be so very upset if they aren't all I expected them to be, I don't doubt their amazingness live, despite all your reviews. I have faith in the musical wonder that is Supergrass. So make me happy.

Dont worry Kim, u will love them, im going 2 c them at the Koko Club in Camden on the 30th. If its true that they were "disinterested" as someone said previously it was probably coz the tour had just started and they were nervous, trust me ive seen them b4, they put on a gr8 show

thats a very very very fair comment (above) ofcourse they look abit jaded, they havent toured in over a year, and alot is riding on this tour, cos they're new albums out and the press might be there getting the first taste of the bands new music. i couldnt belive the negative response from the previous messages, i saw them last year in folkstone and it was one of the best gigs ive been to, and ive seen some f***ing great bands see u on 29th in portsmohtn supergrass!

SUPERGRASS GO DOWN NEW 'ROAD' SUPERGRASS are to release their first new album in three years later this summer. And ’Road To Rouen’, out on August 15, is said to showcase a new sound for the band. The follow-up to 2002’s ’Life On Other Planets’, recorded in a converted barn in Normandy, features zithers, ukeleles, brass, strings and ‘the model of drum machine used by Sly & The Family Stone.’ The LP is preceded by a single, ’St Petersburg’, on August 8. http://www.nme.com/news/112740.htm

Glastonbury this year wasn't the same without you, Supergrass! My best memory of 2003 was the sun shining and a gentle breeze blowing as you (and huge swathes of the crowd) sang "Moving"; and in 2004 my fav moment was getting caught in a downpour watching you play. Then the clouds cleared and Gaz (resplendent in head-to-toe white) announced the arrival of a "nice rainbow". The 2005 lineup was sadly lacking with your absence. Please be there for 2007.

ALBUM SPOILER * Don't read if you want to keep the new album a surprise! Hey all, don't ask me how but I've had a sneaky listen to the new album - sounds great! Of course. Its all very chilled out (Think eon etc) so get comfy in your chair, block out all other external noise, and loose yourself in their melodies!

Hey, i won a competition yesterday (august 3rd) on BBC radio 6 where i got to go to the BBC studios and listen to supergrass live set for them (4th august), it was short but very very sweet. They played ST.Petersburg (acoustic), Low C (acoustic) both from the new album which are both very cool mellow songs. They finished with Sitting Up Straight which is an old school Supergrass fave. At the end i had the added pleasure of meeting Gaz, we spoke for a minute then he let my mate Sean take a picture of us. It was really cool and he's a really nice down to earth guy. Awesome day & cant wait for the album!!!

Huge, massive thanks for the passes to the Maida Vale session... it was an amazing set. Having seen them at Hyde Park and Somerset House this year I though I knew what to expect, but this was completely different! Hey Supergrass! (and Fans) ROAD TO ROUEN is just . . . . . I thought Life On Other Planets was my all-time favourite Supergrass album, but there you go and release something like Road To Rouen. I watched the Glastonbury highlights the other week, and was pretty much convinced no other Brit band compares to you, and hasn't for years. Thanks for a great album, ''Coffee In The Pot'' cracked me up the first time I heard it, and I fell in love with 'Sad Girl' on first sight. Or hearing. Whichever you may prefer. What a brilliant album. Best of luck to all of you . . . Steve

I don't think it was Supergrass's choice to finish the Leadmill show at 10pm - I think the Leadmill might have a policy that bands finish by that time so they can open as a night club. A band I saw there previously also played a very short set, finishing at 10pm.

Hi lads. I am a Spanish Supergrass fan. I am glad such an imaginative and talented band is up there. I haven´t heard anything as funny and as "full of Life" ever. I saw them in Dublin last year. They are really pro. Intense, mad, hot. That´s what that concert was to me, a magnificent "melange" of colors and power. If I love music it is coz I met Supergrass when I was 15. I don't know much bout music but in my opinion Supergrass have created the 20 best songs ever. Do you think I'm being exagerated? Listen to them. long existence to Supergrass. ... now it's time to go. C u.

My moment of Supergrass Zen: September 27th, I played hooky from work today to go up to Times Square and catch Supergrass at the Virgin Mega store. The band arrived late but when they finally got there they rocked and blazed through five songs without missing a beat. I was most impressed with how they retooled "Kiss of Life" just brilliant. After their set they stayed around and signed autographs. I got them to sign my new "I should Coco" cd (my 3rd copy...I wore out the other two). The band was very personable and it was a blast talking with all the members of the band. After the Virgin store we (my two sisters Dianna, Liz and friend Gene) headed down to the Bowery Ballroom for the show later that evening. We managed to work our way into the reserved seating area up in the balcony. We had a

Last night in Amsterdam was the 3rd time I saw you. It was once again a great show. Loved the Melkweg: small room and standing a lot closer to the stage and a great atmosphere. Thanks for playing "wait for the sun". A song that was very special to mynhusband and I when we met 7 years ago. Hope to see you in Amsterdam again soon.

After visiting the supergrass website I have become an even bigger fan than I was at first. I have got all their singles and albums plus a few t- shirts, but there is one thing missing. I have never been to a gig yet, so if any one knows of a gig coming up next year in Oxford let me know?. Can't believe supergrass are 10 years old. Still the greatest band of the decade. Does any one have any thing to add about supergrass?. Reply via the guest book.

Hi, I´m Carlos, from Zaragoza, Spain, and it´s the first time I write here. Last friday I went to Madrid (Spain) to see the concert of Supergrass with I´m Kloot and Ian Brown. I was very, very very happy to see Supergrass again, and with the desire of enjoy of a concert like the one I see in July with Coldplay, or 3 years ago, In Barcelona. Or like the great concert I see in 2004 in Glastonbury. However, what we saw was a concert absolutly diferent to my expectations. Although Gaz I think he song better than ever and played guitar as good as everytime, Mike played bass and song chorus like always, perfect, and Bob played very good too, what made me very sad was not to see Danny (I play drums and Danny is the best drummer for me and the way of playing and the attitude in concerts are my best reference). Bought the self-titled album (Supergrass) yesterday (yes, i know it's from a long time ago but i kept a list of songs/ albums etc. I wanted to purchase when I could afford -you understand). Anyway, I think "Moving" is an absolute classic! It touched me deeply when I first heard it ...it still does. Seems heart-felt. I think it'll remain a classic. Something really special about it. Anyone else out there care to comment?

Only got into Supergrass last year while driving around USA & listening to Supergrass is 10. I got lucky and won some tickets to Wireless in the summer and really enjoyed the Supergrass set. I was hooked! Started looking at the web sites and managed to get tickets for the accoustic tour in Oxford which was really different and worked well with the new albumn. Next stop was Sheffield as I was away on holiday/working for the dates near me (Bucks). Sheffield was absolutely awesome (not just cos Bud was on draught)! Have to agree with comments already left that this was an amazing gig and one of the best nights of my life. Meeting the guys after was so unexpected and finding a picture on my phone helped me through my 2 day hangover afterwards. From there it was to KOKO for another brilliant performance (not sure
